FAQ
Is the flight included in the trip?
As our clients tend to travel from different countries, we do not include the flight into our packages. There are plenty of low cost airlines which offer flights to Berlin, Barcelona and Marrakech. We are happy to provide you with information on flight options but sell the package without flight. All participants are given a meeting time and joining instructions to reach the hotel by their own means. Please check our list of included services per dance holiday and make sure we have confirmed your holiday before you book your flight.
What happens when I arrive at the airport?
A Danzamundo holiday usually starts at a given meeting time in the lobby of the first hotel. Clients are advised on how to make their own way from the airport to the hotel. If required, you can book your airport transfers through us. Please state clearly in your booking request whether you need an airport pick-up or drop-off. This service is available for an additional cost.
Where does a Danzamundo holiday begin/end?
Unless our dance holiday takes place somewhere difficult to reach by public transport, transfers to and from the airport are usually not included. A Danzamundo holiday begins and ends at the hotel.
If I cannot find a flight, am I tied to my reservation?
You have 7 days following your booking confirmation in which to cancel your reservation without any costs.
What is your cancellation policy?
We will fully refund your payment, if you cancel your booking until 46 days before departure, and only retain an administration fee of 50€. If you cancel within 45 days before departure, a cancellation fee will be charged. Please check our terms and conditions for more details.
If there aren't enough reservations, will my booking be cancelled?
If we haven't reached the minimum number of participants for a trip, we will try to put you on an alternative dance holiday. If this is not possible, your reservation will be cancelled and we will refund your payment in full.
What happens if my booking is cancelled and I have already booked my flight?
If a dance holiday is cancelled due to a lack of participants, we will refund your payment in full. However, we are not responsible for the booking of your flight and will thus not refund any flight cancellation costs.
What is the maximum and minimum capacity for a Danzamundo dance holiday?
We usually need a minimum of 6 to 8 participants (depending on the trip) and allow up to approximately 15 people for our flamenco, belly dance and bollywood courses and up to approximately 20 for our partner dances.
How many people are there usually in a group?
There are usually between 8 and 15 people in a group.
How old do you have to be for a Danzamundo dance course?
Between 9 and 99 years old. We do not cater for a specific age group. Anybody who is in shape and enjoys dancing is welcome on our trips.
Can I travel without a dance partner?
Many of our clients come on their own. For our flamenco, belly dance and bollywood courses no partner is needed and for our salsa and tango classes, we try to have an even number of male and female participants. If necessary, we can provide a team of 'taxi boys and girls' to practice your steps with, so that no single traveller is left out from the class. In Cuba, we see to it that each participant has a Cuban dance partner, independently from you travelling by yourself or with a partner. For our tango holidays, we try to balance out as much as possible the number of male and female participants when accepting bookings.
Is there a discount for partners/friends who prefer not to participate in the dance course?
We can book accommodation for your partner or friend who wishes to accompany you but who does not wish to participate in the dance lessons. Please ask for a quote when sending your booking form.
Is there a discount available if I bring a group?
Depending on the size of the group, we offer tailor-made dance holidays. Please check our group offers and send us your request so that we can draw up a special price.
What level are your dance courses?
All our dance courses cater for beginners and people who already have some initial knowledge. Only for our salsa and tango classes do we first organize a level assessment test, and subsequently divide the participants into two levels.
What language are the dance lessons taught in?
The dance lessons are taught in English. If tuition is not given in English, simultaneous English translation is provided. Alternatively, there is Spanish translation available.
What language(s) do the tour hosts speak?
All our guides speak at least fluent English as well as Spanish and the language of the holiday destination (e.g. French in Morocco).
How far are the dance studios from the hotel?
The dance studios are usually close to the hotel and the city centre. They can be easily reached by foot. If not, public transport is readily available and fares are included in the price of the holiday package.
Do the dance studios have air conditioning?
Most of our dance studios are air-conditioned.
Is there a supplement to be paid if I book a single room?
Our prices are based on one person sharing a twin room. If you wish to have a room to yourself, a single supplement will be charged (check the single supplement for the trip you're interested in). If you prefer to share a room (thus avoiding the supplement), we can find you a (same sex) roommate for the duration of the holiday.
Which documents do I need for travelling to your destinations?
For members of the European Union, travelling to EU countries does not require other documents apart from a valid ID or passport. For travelling to Morocco and Argentina, you need a valid passport (valid at least 6 months, counted from the day of entry into the country).
For travelling to Cuba you need to bring a Tourist card (= Visa) issued already in the country you are flying from. This tourist card can often be arranged by specialist travel agents who organize holidays and flights to Cuba. In any case, please check all travelling details carefully before flying. Things might change and Danzamundo will not be able to assume responsibility in these matters.
How do I book a Danzamundo holiday?
All our trips can be booked online by filling out a booking form. If you prefer to pay directly for your holiday as well, you can proceed to make an online payment. If not, once we have received your booking, you will be sent a confirmation together with an invoice with our bank details. In order to guarantee your booking, we require an advance payment of 30%. The rest of the amount has to be paid at least two months before the starting date of the tour.
How do I pay for a Danzamundo holiday?
There are three ways in which you can pay for your dance holiday: online payment by credit card, by invoice or by calling into our office and paying the amount by credit card.
After filling out your reservation form, you can either proceed to make an online payment of the total amount of your dance holiday or simply wait to be sent a confirmation together with an invoice with our bank details. Should I buy a travel insurance before going on holiday with Danzamundo?
We strongly recommend you purchase your own travel insurance before participating in one of our trips.
